Hello,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post.

My mother in law is getting older and has problems walking.  So she uses a rollator which works just fine in all but one regard.  The door into her private bathroom from the shower and sink area is only 22 inches wide.  I'm trying to locate a narrow walker/rollator that can fit through the door, but most of the sites that list such devices don't show the width.  I'd appreciate any recommendations.

Thank you

Charlie

Thanks, Florence, that's a good idea.  Thanks for the other replies as well.

Does the walker that you are using have wheels on it? If that's what is making it too wide, you can turn the wheels to the inside.

We figured that out after months of trying to find a more narrow walker.
Also, the way the door was hinged, made the entrance wider. We found special hinges which allow the door do open up wider and allow more space to get through.

We looked at the 3 wheel walkers, thinking it would be easier to get through the door, but it seemed to be a bit too unstable for my dad's needs.

I took the door off of my mother's bathroom and hung a curtain. It fit through then. She wasn't thrilled but got used to it.
