Hi everyone,

My name is Alice and I'm new to this forum. My mum is getting on a little bit and I feel terrible that I have to work and can't be with her all the time to care for her.

She has insisted that she doesn't want to go into a home, which is absolutely understandable, but I want to be able to give her the support that she needs. I've been doing some research and found this Grandcare device ( and it basically turns their home into a care home, monitors movement etc. but I'm just wondering if anybody has used this before, or whether there are any alternatives?

Let me know - Alice (newbie)
