At the moment I visit my Mother every other day in the hospital - she has been there for 2 months and is due to go into a home. She can be 'difficult' - but I still both like and love her for her opinionated ways - she says if she says something upsetting I am not to take it personally. I am concerned I am visiting too much - upto 2 hrs each time as we enjoy each others company and she is has been crying a lot lately - so that is hard to walk out on. I would look after her myself if I could but just have a one room flat on my own. She will be transferred a bit further away from be soon - so was wondering about the psychological effects of visitng 'too' much. Plus burn out etc..

Dad is in hospice in the NH. I live an hour away and visit every other day for a couple hours. My brother, who doesnt have a job or family, who in fact lives in my Dads big house 5 minutes away from NH practically never visits. My respect for my Bro has plummeted as a result. However, I try to have compassion for my Bro too, since he has revealed that he has so little to give.
