Okay here,

This is going to test my culinary skills, for sure.

That Spinach Pie last week was not a challenge at all, compared to how this will be.

Main thing here is this....

should the squirrel be the stuffing, or should the SISTER be the stuffing.....

I am thinking the squirrel should be the stuffing.  Better yet, BOTH squirrels.

Hi Folks ~
Yes...this is her DH. I just got home from work and my beloved wanted me to read the additional pages of this thread. You ladies are great for each other...I mean that. This Board has been so good for my wife, so supportive, and all of you of each other. The last time I wrote here was when she was having open-heart surgery, hospitalized for 22 days, and came home "alive!" (over one and one-half years ago)
Okay...some humor...I have my own stories about the squirrel sister et all. My favorite were the few times they were "permitted" as far as the attached garage and were remanded to either a folding chair (of course, it was open at the time, unfortunately) and eventually on top of the washing machine. These visits were during the hurricanes and she (SS) was so scared for them, alone in cages, in the garage. I/we loaned her, on each occasion, a very nice bath towel for under the cage (so as not to ruin our chair and washing machine). Of course they chewed it since it was something different than her large bosoms for comfort. I asked her for $10.00 each time when they (her DH) prepared to leave and go home...she did pay. Of course I was pleased...the towels were never ours to begin with = we stayed at some nice hotels over the years .
During the hurricanes she sat with them in the garage - in the night. I'm sorry but that was strange. I honestly don't know how she could them into Italy, thru Customs (ours and theirs), without at least a quarantine period. She does have dual citizenship (because of first DH) and has free health care but must be surviving on the $ from the sale of their home with 2nd DH. Oh well...I don't know how she'll apply for SS long distance. My MIL, Kolleen's Mom, is quite special. I am sure she does not understand to this day why the squirrels in our joint and democratic home were an annoyance, disrespectful and a violation on our agreement to live together. We always said - majority (voting) rules. And so...here we are.
Thank you all for being there for my DW - she is my best.
Thank you all for being there when the time comes that "I" might need you - again.
Now - any towel donations for the poor and snot filled squirrels of the European UnionNo, thank you. Save your towels for a special occasion with your spouse/significant other/paramour - maybe this weekend. All the Best, RP (K's DH) xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Ah, yes, they're in Italia now!  Squirrel Spaghetti, Rodent Ravioli, Vermin Vermacelli . . .

kolleen, ya got a keeper there!  Love the bit about the folding chair.  Conjures images of little bug-eyed rodents hanging out the side of a tightly folded aluminum chair.

The first item on the menu looks interesting, but it appears that it's not the genuine bushy tailed rodent, only a mere look-a-like...maybe large rat or Bayou slow basted Nutria.

Traditionally, Kentucky Burgoo had squirrel and 'possum cooked in the pot, along with the veggies. Southern style Brunswick stew did too! Your sister's squirrels are lucky to have been born in modern times, or they'd been considered to be food instead of darlin' pets!

Can't be much meat on them little varmints!

I did find a good Tee-Shirt to send Squirrel sis for Christmas though...

Hey Kolleen and RP:

OMG you guys should publish this - seems like on my lowest days, there's something "squirrley" going on, and just lifts my spirits.

You two are great - there just has to be hardcover there - just change the names to protect the "innocent"

Hey Molly,

If I was going to write a book about all these horrors, I would

SOOOOOOOOOOO

not want to insult the poor rodents.

And that is my final answer!!!!!
